Why Amharic Kids?
Amharic Kids was born out of our families' adoption journey. We adopted our oldest
daughter as a baby and at that time all we cared about was making sure she ate and
grew. In time, we began to look for Ethiopian cultural and language outlets knowing
how crucial it would be for our daughters' future self-esteem.
In the process our whole family enjoyed the relationships we built, language we
have learned and cultural tidbits we have been able to incorporate into our home
life.
We created Amharic Kids to meet the need of Ethiopian adopted families for books
and toys related to Ethiopia. Amharic Kids is a publishing house and also produces
toys and other items related to Ethiopia and Ethiopian adoption.
